Seagull Nebula
IC2177 is called the Seagull Nebula, and lies a few degrees northeast of Sirius in Canis Major. The head of the seagull is the bright knot of nebulosity cataloged as Gum 1. At the tip of the right wing is the small but bright nebula Ced 90.
