Comet Hale-Bopp
This is an eight minute exposure on Kodak Royal Gold 1000, made with a Vivitar 70-210mm zoom lens and my trusty old Pentax K-1000. The lens was set at 85mm and f/3.5. I took this photo in the dark open space of the South Park region in Central Colorado. As you can see, even without the watch and the finder, this is a decent image, although some clouds were in the area, giving the image a vignetted look. Sure, there's some trailing of stars, but I'm pleased with the results from such a crude mount.
